Libra Partnership are proud to be pioneering an Independant Advocacy service in Medway.

The Family Partnership, funded by the Local Authority, offers impartial and confidential support and issue based advocacy to parents in Medway that have had children removed or have children at risk of being removed from their care. We do this by;

  • Ensuring parental rights are upheld and voices heard
  • Helping parents understand the roles of professionals.
  • Going with parents to meetings and appointments such child protection conferences, housing meetings, medical appointments and so on.
  • Working with parents to make sure they have the information needed to make informed decisions and choices that are right for them and their children.

Our aim to repair the impact and prevent the removal of children into care.

Service users are at the center of everything we do, and as such they have not only influenced the service delivery model, but continue to shape it. We actively encourage Peer Advocacy and offer opportunities for service users to gain advocacy qualifications and further training.
