As an IMCA, you will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs to ensure their voices are heard, and their feelings represented.
The position is for a part-time role, working on a case-by-case basis between Monday to Friday, with client meetings taking place in-person (COVID-19 regulations permitting) across your area as required, and any administrative work able to be completed at home.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in, or a good understanding of, advocacy, information and advice or similar role - ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults. A certification in Advocacy would be advantageous.
Libra Partnership is hiring freelance ‘Independent Mental Capacity Advocates’ (IMCA) on a self-employed basis.
About us:
At Libra, we care about providing a voice for the vulnerable. We believe everyone should be treated with care, respect, and dignity – especially in their most difficult moments, and we’re looking to add an amazing, people-oriented person to provide a voice for those in need.
To be considered, please email us a copy of your CV with a covering letter outlining your skills and experience as an IMCA to admin@librapartnership.com (CVs without a covering letter will not be read).
Please note: as we work with Advocates all over the UK, first interviews will be held via Skype or Zoom, and due to the sensitive nature of our work, a full DBS check and references will be required before you begin working with us.
We look forward to hearing from you!
